The skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing are stressed.  Culture is included where it is needed to understand the language.

Thai II             LS210

The skills of listening and speaking are continued.  Reading and writing are emphasized.  Dialogs are introduced.

Thai III            LS310

This course is for students who have a good background in the Thai language. Many activities will consolidate learning and encourage listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking skills.

Thai IV     LS 410

  • Grades: 9-12

 
This is an advanced course for reading and writing Thai.  Students will learn to analyze various articles, write different styles of stories and learn royal vocabulary through study of Thai history and literature.  Students will learn and use Thai proverbs and idioms effectively.

Spanish I establishes a basic understanding of written and spoken communication in Spanish.  Spanish and Latin American cultures are explored in conjunction with language learning.

  • Grade: 10-12 (Grade 9 with permission)

This course builds on Spanish I with an emphasis on improving grammatical skills and knowledge of Spanish/Latin American culture and history.

Spanish III                    LS320

  • Prerequisite: Spanish II

  • Grade: 10-12

Spanish 3 builds on the foundation of vocabulary and grammar established in Spanish 1 and 2.  Emphasis is given to conversation (to promote increased verbal fluency) and expansion of reading comprehension. Introduction to Spanish poetry and literature.
