Nearly two dozen booths with primary colors, large photos, and vibrant lettering and balloons competed for attention at the annual, packed Activities Fair. For about an hour after school, more than 200 students and parents meandered between tables, asked questions and registered to participate.
Thespians discuss the upcoming spring musical; scientists gear-up for Robotics Club, organizers begin plans for Student Council and Model United Nations sessions. Friends often minister by Saturday Night Tourist Evangelism in markets. Others want hugs and games at House of Love for HIV orphans and Agape Children’s Home, where they also practice Thai language skills.
Bible studies, Timothy Project mentoring teams, and teaching English in nearby Thai elementary schools are enjoyed yearly, as well as the ubiquitous athletic teams and Rec Leagues. Coaches jockey among the crowd for swimmers; volleyball, soccer, basketball, futsal, and Ultimate Frisbee players. Parents enjoy chaperoning in all of these groups.
It’s already a roaring good year for the Grace Tigers! When students are not in classes, completing homework, or keeping in great physical condition, they impact their community with helpful projects!
