An annual GIS costume and game event took a new twist this year. When senior year students were informed they could not host the entire community as usual, they graciously changed course, hosting a smaller crowd of only Grace K-6 students. “Ministry Day” afternoon, students young and old joined in the movie dress-up fun, as seniors provided game challenges matching their movie theme.
“Seniors already had all the costumes and games ready, and had purchased snacks,” a mom said. “So this was a great way for them to serve our younger ones on Ministry Day. Unfortunately, since the community carnival is one of only two fundraisers they are allowed, to help pay for senior trip, many seniors are scrambling for finances. Thankfully, many of our exceptional Grace families are helping with donations.”
