Student council was quick to coordinate a Saturday morning run, “Be the Means for the Philippines” fundraiser, in response to the recent devastating super-typhoon. One dog joined the fun, but no other unusual entries, except comic students pretending to be exhausted.
“About 100 people walked, ran, and biked,” GIS staff sponsor Scott Hacket said. “Parents, students, staff and friends donated a little over 30,000 baht ($900) to help Philippine families in need. This includes funds from collection boxes in the school foyer, the cafeteria, and at the high school talent show that same evening.
