International Day 2015

International Day 2015

Colorful Cultural Day a Success

International Day 2015 began with students, staff, and parents gathering early on an elementary playground, wearing spirited traditional dress or colors of their flag. The day’s focus was to celebrate our diverse heritages and unity in Christ Jesus.

After Advancement Director Matt Coe’s brief opening, representatives of our 27 nationalities at GIS paraded by the cheering crowd to music of their country’s anthem. After 30 minutes, students were in classes. The lunchtime celebration featured Korean, Thai, and Mexican specialties and international games on the grass.
