SUPERINTENDENT'S WELCOME
A NOTE FROM STEVE ANDERSON
WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL
Greetings, and welcome to Grace International School!
It is my pleasure to take a moment to introduce you to GIS. As superintendent it is my privilege to work alongside a fantastic team of called staff. GIS is committed to its overall mission of providing a quality affordable education to international Christian workers serving in our region.
At Grace, we value the importance of incorporating a Biblical Worldview into all that we do. We strive to follow Jesus, pursue excellence, and cultivate a caring community and a thriving partnership with our parents.
Growing up myself as an MK, I can fully appreciate the vision of GIS to ensure every student knows who they are in Christ and experiences a quality education in an inspiring learning environment.
I believe that one of the very unique and special qualities of Grace is its called, caring staff. The teachers and educational support staff at Grace raise their own support to volunteer and serve here. This has been a trademark of our campus and culture. Our staff share their own personal faith journeys to bear witness to God’s faithfulness and provision. It is their testimony that inspires our students and community.
GIS wants our students to incorporate the Biblical Worldview they have encountered here and be equipped to impact the world for Christ. This is achieved as our diverse culture of staff, students, and community pulls together to care for others.
In our vibrant environment, our staff can teach, coach, mentor, and disciple students to strengthen their Hearts, Heads, and Hands. For their Hearts, we teach them to seek God and be image bearers of Christ. For their Heads, we enable them to be critical thinkers and become passionate lifelong learners. And for their Hands, we cultivate a community that models a lifestyle of servant leadership.
With our board’s governance, GIS maintains a quality affordable education that addresses our International Christian Workers’ needs for the spiritual growth and development of their children. GIS also offers a robust Home and Distant Education program as well as a professional Educational Support team to support students with special needs.
The student life at Grace is evident in the events like Chapel, Ministry Days, Community Outreaches, Music, Drama, Art, and Athletics. Each of these activities fosters a culture of service and fun that puts into practice our Biblical Worldview.
I hope you will come and explore more about Grace and experience this Christ-centered community.
In His Grace
