Our student services cover a wide range of areas to help students make the most of their time at GIS. It is our goal to help students to deal with various problems academically, emotionally, and interpersonally. We aim to provide the necessary resources to see them succeed and enjoy their student life. Check out what our student services have to offer.

Student talks with the Academic Counselor

As a student, planning for your future can be a daunting task. Our academic counselors are here to help formulate a personalized plan based on a student’s academic and career goals so that they will be on the right track to excel on their chosen path once they leave GIS. Learn more about how our academic counselors can come alongside students to help them achieve their future goals.

We have a team of qualified staff and nurses who tackle day-to-day health related issues as well as any emergencies. Our Health Service Division is responsible for medical care, wellness training, health education, and the school health policies.

GIS is committed to holistic care for our students. Two of the domains that are key for student development and an inspiring learning environment are the mental health and social-emotional realms. GIS has a Schoolwide Counselor that is available for mental health check-ins, to assist students transitioning into and out of GIS, and for short-term critical care during times of crisis and trauma. GIS also partners with local Christian counseling centers that are available for long-term care when students have ongoing challenges.

GIS is well equipped to meet the technological demands of today’s students. We also make sure that our office staff and teachers have access to all the necessary equipment and technology in order to perform their work efficiently. Our experienced IT Department staff work hard throughout the day to ensure that all technology on campus runs smoothly, ready to respond to help desk tickets and problems that arise. They make sure that all of our programs are up to date and perform maintenance when needed.

Computer Lab

All the computers in our computer lab are up to date and equipped with Adobe Creative Suite and other specialized software for students to use for creative classes. Students are free to use the computer labs during study hall.

Chromebook 1:1

Grace International School continually evaluates how well we are preparing our students for their tomorrow. We have instituted a 1:1 Chromebook program so that each student has a Chromebook. The reason for this change was to provide the 1:1 technology resources that are necessary to effectively integrate technology into curriculum and instruction in order to improve student learning, increase learning opportunities, and encourage the use of different and innovative teaching methods.

This became a crucial element during the COVID-19 outbreak, as every student K–12 had access to educational resources and their teachers through their Chromebooks when we transitioned into online learning. Our vision is a student-centric learning environment where the use of modern technology is routine, transparent, and supportive of curriculum goals and 21st century skills.
