Make sure to check our opening hours for the school year before you come. Please let us know your exact size, or you may use our fitting room.

It will be helpful if you can make an appointment by sending an email to uniformshop@gisthailand.org so that we can be ready to assist you. Please be aware that the uniform shop may be closed on Thai holidays. This applies to both normal and special schedules.

Made of cotton fabric. Because of the nature of cotton fabric, please wash and dry with care.

Standard shorts with GIS branding. Made of polyester.

Girls/Females: Regular Uniforms

Uniform Pants/Shorts/Skirts:

 

Secondary: Navy blue or *khaki uniform-style skirts/shorts that reach within 5 cm of the crease in the back of the knee OR navy blue or *khaki uniform-style long pants or capris that reach to the mid-calf. No denim, leggings, spandex, skin-tight stretch pants or cargo pants.

Elementary: Navy blue or *khaki uniform-style skorts/skirts/shorts that reach within 5 cm of the crease in the back of the knee OR navy blue or *khaki uniform-style long pants or capris that reach to mid-calf. No denim, legging, spandex, skin-tight stretch pants or cargo pants.

* Please note that khaki is defined as a light brown/tan color, no green or yellow.

Uniform Polo Shirts:

May be purchased at the GIS Uniform Shop.

Girls/Females: Special Occasion Uniforms:

Each girl must have a navy uniform polo shirt.

Girls/Females: PE Class Uniforms:

GIS PE shirts & PE shorts may be purchased at the GIS Uniform Shop.

For swimming: a modest 1 piece swimsuit or 2 piece tankini

Boys/Males: Regular Uniforms

For swimming: modest swim trunks/shorts with legs. No brief-style swimwear.

Uniform Guidelines During The School Day

Shoes: May be dress, athletic or sandal type. Sandals need to have backs. High heels are not permitted to ensure student safety.

Outerwear: All outer clothing (jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, etc.), if worn, are to have the GIS logo or be solid navy without any lettering or symbols or print.

Hair: Haircuts, coloring, and hairstyles for boys and girls should not cause a distraction to the students or the learning process thus both boys and girls should keep their hair neat. Boys’ hair should be off the collar and not covering their eyes or ears.

Head Coverings: Hats, hoods, scarves, and sweatbands are not to be worn during the school day inside buildings. Exceptions are allowed for outdoor activities.

Tattoos & Piercings: Must not be visible except for girls ear & nose piercings.

Guidelines for Used Uniform

  1. Donate or sell the old uniforms to another member of the GIS community OR
  2. Destroy and appropriately dispose of worn-out uniforms

We would ask that families do not donate or sell old uniforms to people outside of the GIS community.

Yes. Sweatshirts may be worn as long as they follow the same guidelines for outerwear as outlined in the dress code. Sweatpants may be worn if they are solid navy without any lettering or symbols or print.
